Individual
refractory dies are easily duplicated if teeth are to be
remade, when there are margin chips, or bubbles are
present. There is no need to start over and make a new
base.
Having no pins
in the refractory material itself has numerous advantages.
There are no problems due to different coefficients of
thermal expansion, contamination, pin placement or the
fracturing commonly observed around pins.
Traditional
model pin system techniques are utilized. There are no new
techniques to learn and no additional equipment required.
Pins allow for
greater accuracy since dies are not repositioned in
original impressions as some techniques require.
No need to
duplicate entire model means less expense for the
technician. |
